We offer many surgery options for your pets.
All surgery patients receive pre-anesthetic blood work which is performed before anesthesia. This allows us to make sure there are no underlying conditions that would change or prevent us from doing anesthesia.
In addition to pre-anesthetic blood work, we use low-risk anesthesia and monitor your pet’s vital signs electronically and manually while he or she is under anesthesia.
Dogs must be current on Rabies, Distemper-Parvo, Leptospirosis, Bordetella, and be internal & external parasite free. Cats must be current on Rabies and FVRCP (Feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia) and be internal & external parasite free. We should also know the cat’s FIV & feline leukemia status at the time of surgery. The FIV/FeLV test and vaccines can be done the same day as surgery if necessary.
Routine procedures such as spays, neuters, gastropexies or mass removals – Our team is well trained and efficient in all aspects of surgery, providing minimally invasive options when applicable. All routine procedures are scheduled through our general practice for existing clients only.
Our General Practice Veterinarians and LVTs are well versed in oral surgeries such as complex and simple extraction or mass excision. We utilize advanced digital dental radiology pre and post extraction to ensure that our patients heal quickly and painlessly!
We have a Boarded Surgeon that travels in for existing Uptown patients. TPLO, Fracture Repair, Hip Luxation Reduction and more! We are also able to utilize the boarded surgeon for more advanced soft tissue or internal procedures on a case-by-case basis.
We also have a close relationship with the Puget Sound Veterinary Specialists Surgical Department for consultations and scheduling off-site.
