Dr. Allison DeWitt, D.V.M.
Dr. DeWitt is a Washington state native who is now a Gig Harbor local! She graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from WSU, go cougars! She takes a special interest in feline medicine and ensures to create a calm and soothing environment to minimize any stress that comes along with visiting the Vet. She also enjoys the special care that comes along with geriatric patients. When she is not catering to her six kitties and Wallace, her very fluffy puppy, she enjoys the outdoors.
Dr. Mary Danley, B.V.S.C.
Dr. Danley grew up in San Diego, CA and did her fair share of traveling around the world! She studies and lived in areas like Costa Rica and Australia. She graduated with her BVSC from the University of Pretoria. She’s worked with many exotic such as fruit bats, cheetahs and rhinos. She also participated in rescue spay/neuter relief work in Mexico. She has lived and worked in the WA for the last five years. Her special interests include dermatology and preventive medicine. Dr. Danley is also fear free certified!
Dr. Jennifer Mead, D.V.M., C.V.A., C.C.R.P.
Dr. Mead is one of Uptown Animal Hospital's full-time emergency doctors. She graduated veterinary school from Oklahoma State University and practiced as a general practitioner in Kent, Washington for a number of years. During her practice, she treated many older and aging pets with arthritis. She began to look for other ways to help them live a longer, more pain-free life without the use of multiple drugs, which led to her special interests in Acupuncture and Canine Rehabilitation. Dr. Mead has participated in an intensive training course held by IVAS - The International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and also completed training in Canine Rehabilitation. Dr. Mead believes in finding ways to relieve pain, promote healing, and provide a better quality of life for the pet patients she sees.
Dr. Chris Cane, D.V.M.
Dr. Chris Cane is one of Uptown Animal Hospital's full-time emergency doctors. Dr. Cane grew up in eastern Washington on a wheat farm and developed an intense desire to help animals. She went to veterinary school at W.S.U. and graduated in 1991. Dr. Cane has worked in many veterinary hospitals, but her passion has centered around critical and emergency care. Helping people and their pets in their time of need is something that she is very passionate about. Some of her special interests include pain management, soft tissue surgery, and cold laser therapy. Dr. Cane shares the house with two opinionated felines Rose and Aphrodite as well as three horses. In her spare time, she can be found in the forest riding her Paso Finos.
Stephanie Barton - Senior Hospital Administrator
Stephanie comes to us from the Sunshine State of Florida with sixteen years in the Veterinary Field. She has a broad spectrum of experience from working in Emergency, Specialty, General practice and Zoo Medicine. Her husband is career military and they are enjoying being first time parents! They also share their lives with three furry kittens, a Great Dane, Shepard/Malinois and a Chihuahua! When she isn’t on the clock her passions are hiking, fishing, gardening, football and taking advantage of any sunshine WA has to offer!
