Dr. Asta Tobiassen has been a part of the Gig Harbor community since 2000 and truly cares about delivering compassionate veterinary medicine to her clients and their pets. She is dedicated to developing meaningful community connections and educating animal lovers on how they can take an active role in meeting their pet’s healthcare needs. Dr. Tobiassen was born in Norway and moved with her family to the Seattle area when she was seven years old. Since then she has lived up and down the West Coast, from Los Angeles, California to Anchorage, Alaska and has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1991. She received her undergraduate and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degrees from U.C. Davis. Her main veterinary interests include Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Behavior, and Hospice Care.
In her free time, Dr. Tobiassen’s hobbies include birding and photography. She shares her home with a pug-terrier mix “Birdy”, 2 cats “Ivy” and “Sonja” and her partner who is also a veterinarian.
Dr. Alison DeWitt, D.V.M.
Dr. DeWitt is a Washington state native who is now a Gig Harbor local! She graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from WSU, go cougars! She takes a special interest in feline medicine and ensures to create a calm and soothing environment to minimize any stress that comes along with visiting the Vet. She also enjoys the special care that comes along with geriatric patients. When she is not catering to her six kitties and Wallace, her very fluffy puppy, she enjoys the outdoors.
Dr. Mary Danley, B.V.S.C.
Dr. Danley grew up in San Diego, CA and did her fair share of traveling around the world! She studies and lived in areas like Costa Rica and Australia. She graduated with her BVSC from the University of Pretoria. She’s worked with many exotic such as fruit bats, cheetahs and rhinos. She also participated in rescue spay/neuter relief work in Mexico. She has lived in the WA for the last five years working in mixed animal practices. Her special interests include dermatology and preventive medicine. Dr. Danley is also fear free certified!
Michelle Edell, L.V.T. - Hospital Administrator
Michelle Edell has been in the veterinary field since 1990 and is passionate about the operations side of veterinary medicine and is working towards obtaining her CPVM certification. Michelle’s veterinary interests include Hospice, Palliative Care, and Feline Medicine/Behavior, which is no surprise since she is affectionately called a “kitty whisperer” after having spent a number of years in Feline only practices.
When Michelle is not working, she enjoys being outside gardening, beekeeping, camping, and spending time with her husband, 3 crazy cats, and a lovable dog Buster.
Stephanie Barton - Senior Hospital Administrator
Stephanie comes to us from the Sunshine State of Florida with sixteen years in the Veterinary Field. She has a broad spectrum of experience from working in Emergency, Specialty, General practice and Zoo Medicine. Her husband is career military and they are enjoying being first time parents! They also share their lives with three furry kittens, a Great Dane, Shepard/Malinois and a Chihuahua! When she isn’t on the clock her passions are hiking, fishing, gardening, football and taking advantage of any sunshine WA has to offer!
